The Common Virus Facility is a BSL-2 laboratory center open to researchers at KI for handling work associated with risk group 2 viruses. The facility has permission/notification from the Swedish Work Environment Authority for working with replication incompetent viral vectors including lentivirus, adeno-associated viral virus, and gamma-retroviral virus. To ensure safe work, training is required and provided to all users for access to the facility.
