The iPS core facility provides reprogramming services to supply scientists with human induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells and differentiated cell types. Patient-specific iPS cell lines open up unique opportunities to create cellular models of human diseases in 2D and 3D for in vitro studies. Additionally, we offer other services, such as cellbanking, training and consulting. In collaboration with other core facilities, we have pipelines for genome-editing. Please contact us with your enquiries and we will customize solutions for you. Our iPS Core was founded in 2013 and is located in Biomedicum at Karolinska Institutet, Sweden. We have derived over 350 fibroblast lines and over 400 human iPS cell lines for our national and international customers from academia, industry and healthcare. Our emphasis is on custom-tailored projects where we can offer a wide range of services, from iPS cell derivation and characterization to full research projects, starting with a skin biopsy and ending with analysis of mature neurons.
