FENO Core Facility, histology/pathology (Morphological Phenotype Analysis)

Overview of Services

The Unit for Morphological Phenotype Analysis (FENO) was established as a competence and service facility for mouse pathology at KI in 1999, and as such specializing in the pathology of genetically engineered mice. Today we provide histological service for different kind of spieces and tissues.

FENO offers

  • Tissue processing, sectioning and staining of formalin fixed tissues.
  • Immunohistochemistry, IF (Opal) and RNAScope with automated Leica Bond RXm automated stainer.
  • H&E staining.
  • Special stainings (PAS, SiriusRed, Perl's, etc.)
  • Slide scanning.
