Autoradiography Core Facility

Overview of Services:

The Autoradiography Core facility is included in the Division of Imaging Core Facilities (Department of Clinical Neuroscience) and is part of the Centre for Imaging Research (CIR). We’ll help you with autoradiography (in vitro & ex vivo) and radioligand binding assays (cultured cells or tissue homogenates), using short- or long-lived radiotracers, for different types of projects, e.g. target-specificity, binding affinity, drug screening.

Equipment:

  • Phosphoimager: GE Typhoon FLA9500 (and eraser)
  • Liquid Scintillation Counter: Hidex 600SL
  • High Throughput microplate counter (incl. plate filtering and separation system): Revvity Microbeta
  • Lab bench and Chemical safety hood, for isotope work
  • Cryostat: Leica CM1860
  • Safety equipment: Our facility has tabletop beta and gamma shields and other protective equipment
